Donnelly Beach and Minerva Lake
Donnelly Beach opens on Friday, June 14th, 2024 and the last day of operation is Labor Day, September 2nd, 2024.
Beach hours are from 10 am-7 pm while a lifeguard is on duty.
In 1931 the Town of Minerva built a dam across Jones Brook creating an artificial lake, a beach, and a playground. The beach is named for Francis Donnelly who first became the Town Supervisor in 1932 and served as Supervisor until his death in 1980, for a total of 46 years.

The beach is charming and the recreational area has everything that you will need for a fun family outing. There are lots of picnic tables and charcoal grills for your family picnics. There are some easy hiking trails, three small islands to be explored, two playgrounds, a tennis and basketball court, and even a horseshoe pit!
Minerva Lake is great for canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and fishing.
