Water Billing Schedule

Water bills are sent out between Feb 14th and March 1st. Water billed is for the previous year January 1 through December 31. Payment or partial payment is due by April 1st.

A reminder billing is sent out in the month of August for any open balances. Payment must be made by October 1st to Diana Mason, Water Collections Clerk (see below). Delinquent unpaid amounts will become a lien against the property and placed on the tax roll if not paid in full by October 1st. The penalty is 10% if not paid by April 1st. No additional penalty after October 1st. All unpaid water bills, not paid by October 1st, get turned over to Essex County and are added to the following January tax bill.
