Scarecrow Contest & Display
The 1st Annual Scarecrow Contest & Display will take place in the month of October at Courtney Park, Olmstedville, NY. This fall event features fun scarecrow displays created by families, businesses, organizations and individuals.
Contest Entry is Free and Open to All! Design and create your own scarecrow and enter to win a prize. For more information please click on the link below or call Town of Minerva, town hall at 518-251-2689.
Entrants will have a chance to display their best scarecrow for all to see at Courtney Park at the beginning of October.
There is no entry fee, and the contest is open to individuals or groups.
Participants will be assigned a spot in Courtney park and provided with a 5-foot post. Entries must provide their own material to attach their scarecrow to the post. Completed scarecrows not exceeding 6 feet high and 8 feet wide must be set up between Sept. 24 and Oct. 3. No gruesome or horrific entries will be permitted.
Winners will be announced Sunday Oct. 17.
Those wishing to enter the contest must complete and submit an entry form with contact information and the name or title of their scarecrow no later than Sept. 24. Entry forms are available online at https://townofminerva.com and can be emailed to [email protected] or mailed to Town of Minerva, PO box 937, Minerva, NY.
