Winter in Minerva is Magical. From December through February Minerva has fresh powdered trails and frozen lakes. There is ice fishing at Minerva Lake, ice skating on Minerva Lake and at the covered skating rink at Minerva Beach, snowmobiling on the vast groomed trails, downhill skiing at Gore and West Mountain, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing.
Ice Skating on Minerva Lake
Minerva Lake is a great place to enjoy ice skating. It is free and is a perfect spot to introduce your kids to the sport.
In addition to skating on Minerva Lake, the recreation area features a covered outdoor skating rink which is almost ready to be used. Adjacent to the skating rink is a warming hut. Stay tuned for more information and when it will be available for use!

If you like snowmobiling, you’ll love the trails in Minerva. Minerva has its own snowmobiling club – The Minerva Snow Travelers. The club is dedicated to the enjoyment and promotion of safe snowmobiling in NYS and the preservation of a local trail system for locals and visitors to enjoy.
