Dog Licenses
- In accordance with New York State law, all dogs must be licensed at the age of four (4) months, after receiving their Rabies Vaccination Certificate.
- You can not license a dog without a rabies vaccination.
- If your dog has been spayed or neutered, please provide proof; this will reduce the cost of your license.
- If your dog is microchipped, you can include this information to add to our file.
- If your dog has a 3-year rabies vaccine, you can renew the license for up to 3 years at that time.
- Dog licenses must be renewed annually, unless you opted to renew for 3 years.
- Reminders are mailed at the start of the month, when your dog’s license expires.

You can visit the Town Hall in person, by appointment. Make sure to bring your dog’s veterinary information, including proof of Rabies vaccination, as the Town Clerk will need a copy. Remember, you can also mail a copy of your dog’s veterinary records with your application/renewal, along with the appropriate fee.
The licensing fees are as follows:
Spayed/neutered dogs can be licensed for $5
Unspayed/unneutered dogs can be licensed for $13.
Payment can be made by Cash, Money Order, or check ONLY. Credit or Debit card option is NOT available.
