The 34th Annual Minerva Day Celebration is set to happen on Saturday, July 2, 2022.
Breakfast at Community Center – The day starts off with a breakfast served at the Minerva Community Center, 1652 State Route 28, Minerva, NY that runs from 8:00-11:00 sponsored by the MCS Class of 2023. Call Kate Smith at 518-251-2000 if you have questions.
Town-wide Garage Sales – This long time staple of Minerva Day will commence early and continue through the day. To participate and be listed on the final map and program for the day, please send or drop off the $5.00 and your 2022 garage sale form to Town of Minerva at PO Box 937, Minerva, NY 12851. The money will go towards prizes for the parade. The deadline for getting in your garage sale request and $5.00 fee is June 10, 2022.
Minerva Quest! – 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Minerva Quest makes it even more fun to explore Minerva on Minerva Day! You will find Minerva Quest cards at various locations throughout town. There are 12 locations listed on the card, and you must visit at least 8 of those locations to qualify for a prize. Make sure you get your card stamped at every location you visit, and be sure to drop your card off in the designated box at AJ’s Lakeside Grill (formerly known as The Stand) at Donnelly Beach by 6:45PM! The drawings for prizes will be held at Donnelly Beach at approximately 7PM. Prizes are donated by all of the participating locations. Happy Minerva Day! Pant Pedal Paddle – 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. race starts/finishes at the Olmstedville Dam. Participants aged 14 or older. Small entry fees are charged to encourage serious participation ($10 for ages 14-17 and $20 for 18+). 2022 Pant Pedal Paddle entry form Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams and any remaining funds collected will be donated to the Minerva Service Organization. Fishing Derby at Minerva Lake at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This kid’s derby is complete with swell prizes and cooperative fish is definitely on tap. Call Mike Corey at 251-5060 if you have questions.
